2006 FORD FOCUS ZX3 S | A TRIBUTE TO KEN BLOCK
Check out this badass ride! It's a 2006 Ford Focus S, equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission that'll make you feel like a racing pro. And can we take a moment to appreciate its sleek Oxford White color? It's a head-turner, my friend. I just snagged this beauty in December 2021, making it my 12th Focus in a long line of car-loving adventures.
Now, hold up. I know what you're thinking. A Ford Focus? Seriously? Hear me out, though. While others may swoon over classic muscle cars like a '67 Mustang or a gnarly Pontiac GTO, my heart beats for the Focus. Yeah, you heard me right! And if you're reading this, you probably understand my obsession. But let me introduce you to the one that got away—the love of my automotive life—P4, my 2007 Focus ZX3 SE. This bad boy was the longest-lasting and most modified car I've ever owned. We embarked on epic road trips, covering both coasts of this great nation not once, but twice! P4 and I conquered over 30 states like true road warriors.
But then, I made a bold move. I got myself an ST (P5), a lightning-fast, super cool, turbocharged dream machine. P4 couldn't compete. It was time to say goodbye. I was running a local bike shop back then, living life on the edge, you know? One of our regular customers, a total BMX wizard, was on the hunt for a car. That's when I offered up P4. And guess what? It was love at first rev. This dude fell head over heels for the Focus, and in no time, he scraped together the cash and drove away with my old flame. But here's the twist—our bond grew stronger. We became best buds, going on more wild adventures, even taking part in Supercar Rallies. Eventually, he became my roommate. Talk about a bromance, right? And you won't believe the upgrades he threw onto that car—an F2RS front bumper and an FSWerks Turbo! It was a beast on wheels.
Unfortunately, life took its toll on P4. It fell victim to a series of accidents and some serious sibling mischief. But you know what? I don't regret selling it one bit. That car brought us unforgettable memories and a friendship that has stood the test of time. Still, a piece of my heart remains missing.
But fear not, my friends! Enter P12, the newest addition to my collection. Sure, it may not have all the bells and whistles like cruise control, power windows, and door locks right now, but we can pimp it up later. The previous owner had already thrown in some modifications that align perfectly with what I did to P4. We're talking an SVT subwoofer, a badass Steeda Intake, and a few other odds and ends. Oh, and I held onto some sweet parts from P10, just for good measure.
Now, here's the real kicker. In honor of the legendary Ken Block, the man himself, I've decided to take a different path with P12. We're not going for a mere rebuild here; it's gonna be a tribute to the man, the myth, the Hoonigan. I took inspiration from his iconic Hoonigan Ford Escort, and you won't believe what I've done. Fifteen52 Turbomacs are adorning those wheels, and a wrap is being installed to make this baby pop like fireworks on the Fourth of July. But that's not all. We're talking about giving this car some serious muscle to match its aggressive new look. I haven't decided exactly how we'll make it happen, but trust me when I say, "Mo' Powa' Baby" is coming our way!
So buckle up, fellas. This is gonna be one wild ride. Stay tuned for the updates, because P12 is about to take the streets by storm. Vroom, vroom!
